Vegetation, when well selected and placed, brings life, color and scale to the architecture and structure. All of these elements combine to create a sense of time and permanence in the landscape while re-establishing an appealing environment to interact with and enjoy.

Installing hardscape features are the first phase of many projects. Often, this entails the construction of formal retaining walls or natural rock outcroppings. Flagstone patios, walkways and stone staircases are also installed in this phase. In conjunction with the hardscaping phase, the surrounding topography is sculpted to blend the natural topography with the newly created feature.
Installing trees, shrubs, perennial gardens and foundation planting beds becomes the next phase of the project. At this point of installation the overall plan begins to take shape and it is easy to visualize the final product.
From concept to landscape plan to installation our goal is to exceed you expectations for a creative; interesting and relaxing outdoor living space.
Because much of one’s time is spent outside enjoying our Montana summers patios are often the most important focal point of a landscape. We treat the patio as an extension of your house, an outdoor room where you can experience the transition of architecture to nature. Many of the architects we work with successfully create a seamless transition between the house and patio. We take that concept one step further to bring the surrounding nature into that close space to provide beauty and intimacy.
